Golu grew up in Jaon — the last motorable village before the climb toward Shrikhand Mahadev, one of the toughest yatras on this site. For people here, the mountains aren't a weekend escape; they're the backyard. Over the past decade he's guided everything from first-time trekkers on Kedarkantha to seasoned pilgrims attempting Shrikhand within its narrow official window each July.
Trek With Golu Kailashi grew out of that decade on the trail: a frustration with itineraries written by people who'd never actually walked the route, and sold with acclimatisation schedules that looked fine on paper and fell apart at 4,000m. Every trek in this catalogue — the Panch Kailash yatras, the Panch Kedar circuit, the standard Uttarakhand and Himachal routes — has been checked against what the trail is actually doing this season, not what a brochure said five years ago.

Golu has been guiding treks across Himachal and Uttarakhand for a decade, including repeat seasons on Shrikhand Mahadev and Kinnaur Kailash.

What we won't do
Compress acclimatisation
If a route needs a buffer day, it has one — even when that makes us more expensive than an operator selling the same peak in fewer days.
Oversell group size
Every departure is capped, regardless of how many enquiries come in for a date.
Hide the total cost
Permits, camping, meals and a trek leader are in the listed price — not sold back to you at the trailhead.
